The Truth About Sex in America Today

Paternity results are guaranteed as either 0% or 99.9+% or greater. However, in very rare cases, and at any lab, genetic mutations can disrupt DNA testing. DNA Identifiers, and their lab, Chromosomal Laboratories, Inc., do not guarantee results where these rare genetic mutations are identified. In cases with genetic mutations, additional charges may apply (upon client approval) for extended testing so that the minimum 99.9% probability of paternity may be achieved. The mother is highly encouraged to participate during the first round of testing, at no extra charge lab charge, which will typically avoid and usurp any mutation issues and yield a higher positive percentage; adding mother later will incur a fee. Adding the mother to the paternity test will increase the results percentage.
The fees listed below are for extended laboratory work only. If we are adding a person to a DNA test, and they need to be collected on in a legal manner, standard collection fees will apply, as well as the lab work fees below.
Paternity Extended Testing Fees
Add Mother: $100
Add Y Chromosome: $100 per person
Penta D/E (2 markers): $75 per case
FFFL (4 markers): $75 per case
NGM (5 markers): $100 per case
FFFL and Penta D/E (6 markers): $125 per case
Mitochondrial: $350 per person (2-4 week turn around)
Fee for cancellation of test after DNA samples have arrived at lab: $25 per person and $25 per FedEx.

The results will be provided in approximately 2-business days (Monday – Friday, except holidays) from the date all of the samples are received in the lab, unless otherwise agreed. Standard Results may possibly take longer than 2-business days as the lab WILL NOT RUSH quality results. Results WILL NOT be released until payment is received in full. DNA Identifiers charges 100% of the fee, for services rendered, prior to laboratory testing. When purchasing our test, the client in turn agrees to pay for all services rendered and understands that there will be no refunds. DNA Identifiers is in no way responsible for the genetic outcome, or lack of, for any test and therefore results, or lack of, will not be subject to refund.
Grandparentage: Grandparent DNA Tests are not guaranteed. Although we can test with just one grandparent, when using Grandparents in place of a parent, it is always best to use both biological grandparent of the father or mother. This is because both individuals will make up the full genetic code of their offspring. In paternity cases where both grandparents and the mother of the child are tested with the child, the result is typically a 99.99+%, but can be higher or lower based on given DNA. As in all relationship tests, genetic mutations can be identified, and possibly interfere, with DNA testing. In cases with genetic mutations, additional charges may apply (upon client approval) for extended testing so that optimal results may be achieved. The mother is highly encouraged to participate during the first round of testing, to avoid and usurp any mutation issues and yield a higher positive percentage; adding mother later will incur a fee.

Grandparent Extended Testing Fees
Add Mother: $175
Add Y Chromosome: $100 per person
FFFL (4 markers): $50 per person
Penta D/E (2 markers): $50 per person
NGM (5 markers): $60 per person
Both the FFFL and Penta D/E (6 markers): $75 per person
Mitochondrial: $350 Per person (2-4 week turn around)
Sibling: Although our DNA technology is state of the art, DNA Testing on siblings can be very difficult and results are not guaranteed. (This is true at any lab.) Each child receives a completely different set of DNA from their parents. Sometimes siblings share very common DNA and sometimes they do not. Therefore, sibling testing might not be very strong even if two individuals are fully related. Sibling testing is even more complicated when individuals share only one parent. Rare family DNA will always boost a test result, as will including known parents of a donor. If the results are unsatisfactory, which is no fault of the laboratory’s but is based on available DNA and true family relationships, the client has an option to purchase extended testing. It is always best for males to perform a Y-Chromosome test to see if they share the same male relative and for both females and males to perform a Mitochondrial test to see if they share a common female relative.
