DNA Banking is a service that provides genetic storage for people looking for peace of mind.
Unlike a common name, a social security number that can be stolen, or photographs that don't represent a person's current age, DNA identity remains constant from the moment of conception to the end of life.
All DNA Banking information is accessible only to those you recognize in writing, however, should you or your family need help from a law enforcement agency, such as in search for a missing child or person due to an abduction, accident, or a natural disaster, you will have absolute and fast results due to our laboratory's full compatibility with the nationally recognized DNA identity standards. With your loved one's DNA readily available, precious time is saved that allows the law enforcement to quickly compare your loved one's DNA identity to any DNA evidence uncovered while searching for your loved one.
How Do I Bank DNA?
When purchasing any DNA Test, you may opt to include DNA Banking as an additional service. Otherwise, you may purchase a DNA Banking Kit, which will be mailed to your home. The materials inside the Kit allow you to collect a DNA sample in the privacy of your home. The Kit provides the shipping materials you need to mail your collected DNA sample to the laboratory.
Upon the receipt of the DNA sample, the laboratory performs DNA analyses on 16 different genetic sites which, in turn, creates a personal genetic profile. The laboratory will then mail a certificate to you within days.
The DNA Banking Kit also contains fingerprinting supplies and a booklet allowing you to store fingerprints, vital information, and a recent photograph. You are encouraged to store these items along with your Genetic certificate.
