Maternity Testing simply means, “to establish Motherhood”. A Maternity Test is quite similar to a Paternity Test. In this case, both the Child or Children and Possible Mother are tested together using a cheek swab test. It is not necessary to include the Father (or Possible Father) in the testing procedure. However, if the Child is under the age of 18, the child’s Legal Guardian must be present in order to consent to testing.
